Leitrim GAA Poc Fada

The Leitrim Poc Fada took place on Carrick Golf Club on Saturday June 22nd over over six holes of the course.

Winner - Alan Duffy, Carrick H.C.
Second - Gary Coone, Carrick H.C.
Boys Under 16
Winner - Damon Beattie, Cluainin
Second - Stephen Loughlin, Cluainin

The other competitors in the Senior category were James Glancy, Conal McGuire, Stephen Feeney, Gary McGovern and Ryan Lonican.

Also taking part in the Under 16 competition were Shane Beirne, Dessie Beirne and Hugh Glancy. The winner and runner up in each category now go through to the Connacht finals in Ballyhaunis on Monday night.

Galway GAA Poc Fada

The Galway Finals for Hurling (no information on Camogie Final available  at present) were held on Monday 24th July on the NUIG Campus, Dangan, Co. Galway. Waiting on results at present! 

Roscommon Hurling & Camogie Poc Fada Finals

The Finals of the Roscommon Camogie and Hurling Poc Fada competitions took place on Monday, June 24th in the beautiful setting of Roscommon Racecourse. 

There were close to 100 people present on a fine summers evening and many took the opportunity to walk the track with the competitors.



Winner - Gerry Fallon, Oran H.C.
Second - David Connell, Athleague
Winner - Kelly Hopkins, Athleague
Second - Fiona Jones, Athleague
There is no information on the Boys Under 16 Competition to hand.

Mayo GAA Poc Fada

The Mayo Poc Fada took place on Ballinrobe Race Course on Friday, June 21st last.

Winner - Donall O'Brien, Ballyhaunis
Second - John Duffy, James Stephens
Boys Under 16*
Winner - Sam Forde, Moytura
Second - Shane Geraghty, Westport

*The Under 16 competition was held as part of the Mayo GAA Hurling Skills Competition in Claremorris earlier in June.

Sligo GAA Poc Fada

The Finals of the Sligo Hurling Poc Fada took place on Sunday, June 23rd on Culleenamore Strand in Strandhill. Origionally scheduled to be held at Coney Island Strand they were switched due to inclement weather. 

Winner - Chris Madden, Calry
Second - Niall Cadden, Coolera-Strandhill
Boys Under 16
Winner - Adam Kerrigan, Coolera-Strandhill
Second - Kieran Devaney, Easkey
